This sold to one of my cousins who I'm Facebook friends with. Full disclosure: I discounted the markup to the lowest it will go, to make it more affordable for her--she's a widow and in poor health and is on a fixed income. But she's often commented on my work, so when she told me earlier today that she was planning to buy a print of this piece, I went in and changed prices temporarily, and sure enough she bought a print.

What excites me (beyond knowing she liked my art well enough to pay for it when it was a luxury for her), beyond the profit on it, naturally, is that a sale of my abstract work will help a little to make it more visible in searches. So it was well worth the discounted sale price, and I was glad I could help my cousin out in that way. (And, as icing on the cake, she got a 20% sitewide discount!)

The cupola and clock of the old Washington County Courthouse are towering above the town as if to safeguard it. Historic Jonesborough is the oldest town in the State of Tennessee, and is a lovely way to spend a day, an evening, a week or a lifetime.

I made a sale overnight. It's a floral puzzle. What is interesting older images that never sold seem to get more attention.

I put my exhibit up on Tuesday at the Memphis Botanic Garden, and while I was getting ready to hang the art, I sold one of my works! It's still in the show, but the tag has a red dot on it, meaning SOLD. :) It's this piece:



I'm hoping the little red dot will be a subtle psychological nudge to other would-be buyers (a little peer pressure, maybe?) to buy some of my art. :)
